Sunny graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in communication and a minor in political science. After college she joined Sands Brothers & Company in New York City as a Sales Assistant. Between 2001 and 2006 she was the Director of Operations for Laidlaw and Company. This exacting position required strong organizational skills and called on her communication training and experience. “Work is easier,” she said, “when it is orderly.”

She and Bob Grillo have three sons, Bo, Rocco, and Mack. Between them they participate in at least 5 different sports with year-round practices, games, and tournaments. “It takes some coordination, but we love watching the boys in action.” When she isn’t at one of her son’s sporting events, Sunny loves being “in motion” herself with tennis, golf, running, and fitness training.

Sunny brings to Tempus skills learned through volunteer activities such as fundraising and organizing community events at her sons’ schools. Her degree in communication, her demanding business experience enhanced by her volunteer work, and, perhaps most notable, her role as a mother, contribute to her creative path at work at Tempus.

Her goal as Marketing Director at Tempus is “to make the customer experience at Tempus unique.“
