Van Betta received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts in 2004 with a major in management and economics. In 2006 he joined Bob Grillo and affiliated with Raymond James. Van was instrumental in the creation of Tempus Advisors.
His position at Tempus encompasses overall client management, Investment due diligence, asset allocation model management, portfolio reporting, and client review preparation along with financial planning and modeling.
“A challenging variety of tasks and objectives” is how Van describes his work. “In addition to the ultimate goal of serving our relationships, I love the daily overall challenges around organization and prioritization.”
Van is married to Dr. Brianne Lee Etter, a Physical Therapist who received her doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University. They have two children, Madison and Cameron, who along with their rescues (dogs and cats) maintain a very full and loving home.
He played Ultimate Frisbee competitively in college and before that at Columbia High School where the sport was invented more than 50 years ago. Van explained that honesty, respect, and sportsmanship are the code known as “spirit of the game” woven into competition in the sport.
Van attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and its “oath” and “laws” instilled in him qualities that he carries into his professional life.
“We are always aiming to make things easier for our clients and provide them with a greater level of service,” he said, “reaching out to help individuals and families whenever they are in need.”
